Scenic driving from the beach level up to the extinct craters area at 2000 meters (6600 ft.) above the sea level, on board of our comfortable 4WD vehicle, switching between regular road and short off road, to discover the unique nature of the Mt. Etna Volcano with the visit of the most important point of interest, such us a lava cave, the ancient caldera, the Etna forest and old lava flows, out of the usual bus mass trip.

Etna Volcano, scenic driving from the port going througt the mountain’s villages, up to the volcanic area at about 2000 meters (7000ft.) above the sea level, to visit old lava flows and extinct craters. We will then continue the tour with an unforgettable experience, entering with you into the world of the Etna’s wines immersed in high ground vineyards and local flavors.

SIRACUSA AND ORTIGIA
(duration 5/6 hours)
Departure from Catania port to Syracuse, the ancient powerful city during the Greek period (734 – 212 B.c.) of the Mediterranean sea. The visit begins with an interesting stop at the Neapolis Archaeological Park (scenes set of the last Indiana Jones movie), which conserve the most important monument of the Greek and Roman age, such as the Greek theatre, the Latomia del Paradiso, the Ear of Dionysius, the Roman amphitheater.
We will continue with a guided visit at the St Giovanni Catacombs, the rests of an old Greek aqueduct, 10.000 square meters situated in the Akradina area, which until the Roman times have been used for the cult of the dead.
Afterwards, the excursion heads toward Ortigia well-known for the ruins of the earliest Greek constructions, in plain sight the Temple of Apollo, but the greatest and most singular monument of Ortigia is the Cathedral of Syracuse which rises on the highest point of the peninsula and one of the most famous spots in Ortigia is the Fountain of Arethusa, a freshwater spring forming a pool with papyrus plants, situated on a wide terrace overlooking the sea.
